Southeastern Illinois College and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville Select LoudCloud
Dallas, TX, September 16, 2015 – LoudCloud Systems announced today that a joint CBE project with Southeastern Illinois College and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, has selected the company’s FasTrak system to deliver a competency based education program slated to begin later this year. The program, funded by a federal TAACCCT grant, will focus on biofuels.
“Southeastern Illinois College along with Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville are excited to announce that we have partnered with LoudCloud Systems to use their innovative competency-based platform to create a biofuels training program, said Courtney Breckenridge, Building Illinois’ Bioeconomy Consortium Project Manager. “The platform will serve as a flexible training tool for industry partners as well as a progressive learning management system for the traditional student.”
“This new platform aligns job objectives from industry to academic curriculum in such a way as to prove a student’s competency as they progress through their education and training,” said Renee Loesche, Director-BIB Curriculum & Training, at Southeastern Illinois College. “It’s an innovative approach that includes involvement with the employers to develop training to create pathways to jobs.” Southeastern Illinois College looks forward to the success of this partnership as they re-create their biofuels curriculum for this powerful training environment.
