In 2010, e-learning innovators Manoj Kutty and Anil Sonkar brought together a team of inventive, forward-thinking people with the idea of introducing a radically different dimension to teaching and learning. In February of that year, LoudCloud was born in Dallas, Texas. Today our company boasts a management team backed by decades of education technology, software, and big data experience. This experience has led to the development of innovative products that are helping K-12 and higher education institutions improve teaching and learning. Funded by multibillion dollar businesses that believe in our vision, we are growing at an explosive rate with a team of nearly a hundred passionate, dedicated, and motivated employees.


Manoj Kutty is the chief executive officer and founder of LoudCloud Systems. He started his career in 1993 with the Tata Group –– a $100 billion Indian conglomerate –– and rose to become one of its youngest presidents. In 2000 he established Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) in North America and over the next decade helped build one of the world’s largest e-learning service providers.

In 2010 he setup LoudCloud based on his belief that a reimagined teaching and learning platform underpinned by behavioral analytics would improve student and teacher outcomes. Manoj holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA.

Divakar serves as the chief financial officer at LoudCloud. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Divakar oversees all financial and accounting functions at LoudCloud, and works collaboratively with LoudCloud leadership to develop timely budgets and stimulate fundraising efforts.

He has been a successful fund manager in private equity for the past 30 years and served as chairman of the National Association of Investment Companies for two years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India; a master’s in Materials Science from Stanford University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the UCLA.

Fred brings over 25 years of sales and operations experience, most recently with Cambium Learning Group, a publisher of reading and math intervention curriculum for K-12 where he spent 7 1/2 years as vice president of sales and support services. Prior to Cambium, Fred spent 21 years in various sales, marketing, and operations roles with Dun & Bradstreet.

Fred holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Lehigh University and Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University.

Mike Junior is vice president of business development at LoudCloud Systems. His primary responsibilities are strategic client and business partnerships, developing new markets, and working with the product team on instructional workflows and user preferences. 

Mike has three decades of experience producing instructional content and materials by working with instructors to understand instructional challenges and develop efficient, instructional workflows that address those challenges. As editor-in-chief at McGraw-Hill, Mike lead efforts to transition McGraw-Hill’s higher education unit from print to digital. For 12 years, beginning in 2000, Mike lead strategic and business development activities for online learning products and services. He developed the first multi-discipline adaptive assessment study product –– today known as McGraw-Hill LearnSmart –– and defined requirements for McGraw-Hill’s electronic homework system, McGraw-Hill Connect.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Le Moyne College.

John is responsible for managing strategic opportunities and serves as LoudCloud’s expert on competency-based education technologies. He’s been selling learning solutions for 20 years in both the K-12 and higher education markets.

John is passionate about finding the right solutions for clients, exceeding customer expectations, and creating key business alliances to support strategic growth. His energy, enthusiasm, attention to detail, and advocacy for customer care are the driving forces behind his success.

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from West Chester University.

Andrew Shoaf is an innovative leader in cloud-based eLearning solutions. Throughout his career, Andrew has helped develop many of the strategies used to deploy large-scale e-learning systems, including enterprise-scale deployment architectures, integration services, and application performance management.

Prior to LoudCloud, Andrew held multiple positions for several successful software companies including ANGEL Learning, and Blackboard where he served as a senior consultant to an international clientele of academic institutions.

Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from Indiana Wesleyan University and has over 15 years of experience in information technology with skills in technology management, product development, project management, consulting, business development, and customer service.

Rhonda Blackburn, Ph.D., has been working in academia for the pasts 20+ years as a teacher, administrator, trainer, and consultant. Now she takes that experience to the corporate world at LoudCloud Systems and applies that knowledge to make her clients successful in their e-learning goals and initiatives. As the VP and Chief Academic Officer, she helps clients create online and competency-based courses that allow students to track their learning and move through a curriculum at a pace that meets the students’ needs and learning experiences, and enhance on-ground and online courses through the use of technology and learning outcomes assessment.

Rhonda continues to teach at two different universities to feed her passion to work with students on their educational aspirations. She holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University.

Anita serves duel roles as an analyst and consultant to clients in order to meet the business and functional requirements for projects. She stays closely involved in all phases of the design process, including execution, and is responsible for staying current with all design trends and industry best practices. Anita currently runs LoudHelp, an online product help site, and leads product design for LoudCloud’s competency-based learning product.

Prior to her time to joining LoudCloud, Anita worked multiple freelance projects that spanned the roles of graphic artist, web designer, web developer, user experience and interface designer, and web master.


Anil Sonkar is the chief technology officer and cofounder of LoudCloud. While spearheading design and development of various products, he has worn various hats in the organization since its inception. Under his leadership, LoudCloud designed and developed an enterprise SaaS based cloud architecture for its learning ecosystem for both higher education and K-12.

Anil has held technology leadership roles at many organizations and designed and distributed frameworks and platforms for multiple clientele in the education, corporate, and government industries across the globe.

Prior to LoudCloud, he lead Software Solutions practice at Tata Interactive Systems for more than a decade. Anil holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics from the University of Pune.

Manish is the chief financial officer for LoudCloud’s India subsidiary. He handles finance and administration matters. 

Manish has over 20 years of experience in various industries, including IT, fast-moving customer goods, banking, and private equity. He has held positions at business groups like Tata, Standard Chartered Bank, and Asian Paints. He is a rank-holding chartered accountant and a management accountant.

Dinesh is LoudCloud’s creative director, a two-pronged role. He manages the LoudBooks™ web-based e-reader product and oversees user experience and instructional design. On LoudBooks™, his current focus is on developing an LTI-compliant offering with an orientation towards the e-textbook publishing space. As head of design, he mentors a team of user experience and user interface designers working across the higher education and K-12 product lines. 

Dinesh has over 19 years of experience as a communications and content consultant in advertising, new media, features, and instructional and content design. He has been involved in the design and development of over 1700 hours of learning in areas like English reading skills, high school and business math, soft skill simulations, application training, and story-based learning. He is a trained usability analyst and has experience in user-centric product and information design. His work in advertising and e-learning has won recognition at Indian and international forums.

Vraj leads a team of software architects, data scientists, and SAS® data programmers in the development, design, and management of LoudSight™, LoudCloud’s suite of analytics-based products and services.

Prior to joining LoudCloud, he headed the Center of Excellence (CoE) for simulations at Tata Interactive Systems.

Manish Keswani has over 16 years of experience in the IT industry and more than 12 years within the e-learning domain. He started his career with one of the pioneers in e-learning: Tata Interactive Systems. Manish began as a software engineer and moved to a management role as deputy technical head of EPSS (Electronic Performance Support Systems). He also did a short stint with MphasiS, working on projects in the finance domain.

Manish manages LoudCloud’s local and cloud infrastructure, and oversees the deployment and management of applications in the production environment.

Manish has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University, and a multiple diplomas in computer programming.

Nikhil Puri heads of customer services and support at LoudCloud. He leads a team of project managers who provide support and fulfill customization requests for clients around the globe.

Nikhil has 18 years of experience working in industries like e-learning, marketing, advertising, and media planning. He has held integral positions at JWT, Tata Interactive Systems, and Dun & Bradstreet.

Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and a Master of Management Studies degree from Mumbai University.
